 Burlington TeamMusic Therapist, BurlingtonSarah holds a Bachelor of Music Therapy from Wilfrid Laurier University and is an accredited Music Therapist (MTA) with the Canadian Association for Music Therapy. She is also a member of the Music Therapy Association of Ontario and serves on the Board of Directors as Education Chair. Following her degree she completed an internship at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Aging & Veterans Care and Palliative Care. In the years since her internship, Sarah has gained experience in a variety of settings, including adult day centres, group homes, schools, long-term care facilities, palliative care programs, and private practice clinics. She has worked with children and adults who have physical and intellectual disabilities, speech and language delays, behavioural and emotional challenges, dementia, and acquired brain injury. Sarah also has experience teaching private flute and piano lessons and adapted music lessons. |
